About Us

The Raphael and Ornstein family created the Raphael Foundation (Foundation) to support and empower youth as leaders of positive change in their community. 

Nurturing young change makers is paramount to creating vibrant and sustainable communities. The Foundation’s priority is to maximize the impact of youth between the ages of 13-18 years by supporting experiential learning programs through:

• Community-based young leadership programs; and,

• Change-making initiatives developed and implemented by youth.

Active learning is a critical educational pillar that equips youth with the tools to successfully tackle life challenges. Education through hands-on experience builds self-confident and resourceful leaders--leaders who take the necessary risks to achieve their full potential and become global community advocates.
